About the Role

This is a full-stack product engineering role at the center of how a well-known startup accelerator and venture fund operates, spanning admissions tooling, events platforms, and internal workflows. Engineers here own the product experience end-to-end, from problem definition and UI design through to deployment, with no traditional PMs or designers in the loop. It is a high-autonomy, high-impact position where the goal is turning operational complexity into clean, well-designed software.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and ship full-stack applications powering the admissions pipeline, events platform, and internal tools.

  • Develop and extend an events platform covering registration, coordination, and media handling for a wide range of recurring events.

  • Integrate with external systems such as Google Calendar, Slack, and email to coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Build AI and semantic search systems using embeddings and natural language queries across large datasets.

  • Automate admissions workflows including scheduling, notifications, status tracking, and email triage.

  • Develop internal LLM-powered copilots for email classification, workflow automation, and natural language interfaces.

  • Create dashboards and analytics to track pipeline health and operational metrics.

  • Work directly with operations teams to understand workflows and continuously improve tooling.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record shipping full-stack products end-to-end, owning problem definition, UI, and deployment.

  • Hands-on experience building with AI and LLMs, including semantic search, embeddings, and NLP features in production.

  • Proficiency across the stack: Rails, React, PostgreSQL, and Python (or a closely equivalent set of technologies).

  • Experience at a startup, as a founding engineer, or in an early-stage environment with high ownership and limited process.

  • Comfortable designing polished user interfaces as well as robust backend systems.

  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs and data pipelines.

  • Strong CS fundamentals, demonstrated either through a rigorous degree or exceptional project work.

  • Able to work autonomously, make pragmatic tradeoffs, and deliver without detailed roadmaps.

  • Familiarity with internal tools, workflow automation, or CRM-type software is a plus.

  • Prior experience as a founder or early technical leader is a plus.
