- Carry out inspections of manufactured components, assemblies and completed systems to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Identify, document and manage non-conformances (NCRs), supporting investigations, corrective actions and rework activities.
- Provide technical guidance and support to test technicians carrying out inspections and quality checks.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and the transition from development into established manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection records and reporting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality standards as production volumes increase.
- Collaborate with wider engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve processes.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in Quality Engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.
- Demonstrated experience implementing, maintaining or improving quality management processes within manufacturing operations.
- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and associated quality procedures.
- Experience carrying out quality inspections, managing non-conformances and supporting corrective actions.
- Experience supporting products or components through development and into established manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and quality documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing and testing teams.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting the implementation or development of a new QMS.
- Familiarity with recognised quality standards, such as ISO 9001.
- Experience with new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing scale-up.
- Exposure to complex engineered products, mechanical assemblies or industrial equipment.
- Experience supporting test technicians or production personnel with quality-related activities.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement methodologies.
- A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in improving manufacturing quality and efficiency.
