Registered Nurse – Nursing Support Services Float Pool

Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating comprehensive nursing care, including direct patient care, education, and care transitions. They support professional practice across various settings, ensuring all aspects of nursing care are planned, implemented, evaluated, and communicated effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing leadership through mentoring, informal roles, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Delegating patient care based on skill, experience, acuity, and resource availability.
• Maintaining excellent communication, mentoring, and teaching skills.
• Participating in committees or projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Student or graduate of a nursing program.
• Experience preferred but not required; one year of RN or LPN experience is advantageous.
• Exceptional communication skills, teamwork ability, and computer proficiency, with electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Current RN license per state requirements and Basic Life Support certification.
