Registered Nurse – Medical Specialty

Role Overview: This registered nurse position involves providing specialized care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders on a 21-bed unit. The RN is responsible for coordinating nursing care, patient education, and discharge planning, especially for those with complex needs and chronic illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care with a holistic approach tailored to diverse patient needs.
• Educate patients and families to support health management and recovery.
• Participate in discharge planning and transition of care processes.
• Lead and support team activities, including mentorship and quality improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems; experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Valid RN license and BLS certification prior to start.
