Sekai is building a consumer social platform for interactive mini-apps — a TikTok-like experience where people discover, play, and create web-coded experiences with natural language. The company has more than 1M monthly active users, a roughly 30-person team, and strong backing from a16z, Khosla, Mayfield, and A*. This is a high-ownership opportunity reporting directly to the CEO.

We are hiring two AI Product Managers. Candidates may align to one of two tracks:
• Agent PM: Own AI-powered creation and interaction features, including LLMs, agents, multi-agent systems, and tool calling. Mandarin fluency is required for this track, although exceptional non-Mandarin candidates may be considered.
• Consumer / Content PM: Own user-facing product areas and ship onboarding, first-time user experience, engagement, activation, retention, and recommendation features at scale. Mandarin fluency is strongly preferred and required for the core profile.

What you will do:
• Own a product area end to end, set OKRs, and drive product direction with substantial autonomy.
• Collect user feedback, conduct user interviews, form hypotheses, and rapidly iterate.
• Use Amplitude, BigQuery, and SQL to analyze funnels, activation, retention, and engagement; AI-assisted analysis is welcome, but you must validate the output.
• Use AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex daily to build demos, explore product ideas, run SQL, and accelerate product development.
• Partner closely with engineers in technical discussions and ship quickly.
• For the Agent PM track, translate agentic AI capabilities into useful, delightful user-facing experiences.
• For the Consumer / Content PM track, ship onboarding, FTUE, engagement, personalization, and recommendation experiences.

Minimum requirements:
• 3+ years of product management experience, ideally within the 3–7 year range.
• Demonstrated experience shipping user-facing products for a consumer app, social product, or content platform (not solely B2B, enterprise, backend, infrastructure, or internal tooling).
• AI-native product experience: you have worked directly on AI features or AI products and understand LLMs and agents.
• Strong ownership, product judgment, and ability to manage a large scope independently.
• Comfort with SQL and data analysis; experience with Amplitude or BigQuery is valuable.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or able to work Pacific Time; remote-first role.

Preferred qualifications:
• Early-stage startup experience, ideally combined with experience at a larger technology company.
• STEM degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
• Daily use of AI coding and prototyping tools.
• For Agent PM: hands-on experience with agents, multi-agent systems, tool calling, or other LLM product patterns, plus strong project management skills.
• For Consumer / Content PM: experience with onboarding, FTUE, engagement, personalization, recommendation systems, or growth loops.
• Mandarin and English fluency for a working environment.

Compensation and logistics:
• $150,000–$200,000 base salary, with competitive early-stage equity; exceptional candidates may be considered above range.
• Full-time, remote-first; San Francisco Bay Area preferred and Pacific Time alignment required.
• Open to visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers; onboarding expected within 1–2 weeks of offer.
• Hiring two people as soon as possible.

What we avoid:
• Candidates who are too junior or fresh out of undergraduate school.
• PM profiles limited to backend, infrastructure, or internal tools without consumer-facing ownership.
• Candidates without evidence of AI product work or hands-on consumer product shipping.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $150,000 – $200,000 per year.
