  • Lead incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and preventative actions.
  • Oversee permit-to-work procedures, fire safety arrangements and emergency response processes.
  • Coordinate statutory inspections, equipment examinations and maintenance-related compliance activities.
  • Support occupational health programmes, including monitoring and control of noise, vibration and respiratory hazards.
  • Provide practical HSE guidance to engineering, manufacturing and operational teams.

Compliance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate HSE records, compliance documentation and regulatory reporting, including RIDDOR where applicable.
  • Act as a key point of contact for regulatory authorities, external auditors and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage contractor safety processes, including pre-qualification, inductions, RAMS reviews and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Monitor HSE performance through inspections, audits, incident trends and key performance indicators.
  • Prepare and present regular HSE reports to senior management, highlighting risks, performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver safety training, awareness initiatives and practical guidance to employees and contractors.
  • Promote a positive safety culture while supporting efficient and effective manufacturing operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across health, safety and environmental processes as the business develops.

Skills & Experience

Essential:
