Senior Product Engineer

About the Role

Join a small product engineering team at a venture capital and startup accelerator organization. You will build software for founders and internal teams, turning complex operational workflows into reliable, easy-to-use products. Engineers own the product experience end-to-end, from understanding needs and shaping interfaces to shipping production systems.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and ship full-stack applications for admissions, events, and internal operations.

• Improve event tools for registration, coordination, and media workflows.

• Integrate software with external services, including calendar, messaging, email, and data systems.

• Develop semantic search and AI features using embeddings, natural language queries, and large datasets.

• Automate admissions workflows such as scheduling, notifications, status tracking, and email triage.

• Build internal dashboards, analytics, and LLM-powered tools that help teams make decisions and reduce manual work.

• Work directly with operational teams to understand their needs and make practical product and engineering tradeoffs.

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 1 to 12 years of experience, including shipping production software in a startup, founding, or comparable environment.

• Full-stack product engineering experience, with ownership of product decisions, user experiences, and operational workflows.

• Experience building AI or semantic search features, including embeddings or natural language processing across large datasets.

• Proficiency with Python and familiarity with Rails, React, and PostgreSQL, or equivalent technologies.

• Experience integrating external systems and APIs, such as calendar, messaging, email, or data pipeline services.

• Strong engineering fundamentals, good judgment in ambiguous situations, and a collaborative, low-ego approach.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range is $185,000 to $485,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.
