About the Role
Join the applied AI and platform engineering work at a growing workforce technology company. You will bring AI agents into production across a staffing marketplace, while owning the backend systems and platform that support matching, worker vetting, and placement.
What You'll Do
Identify where AI agents can automate workflows across the staffing product and help teams build effectively with AI tools.
Design and lead core systems, including real-time matching and autonomous vetting workflows powered by machine learning and agents.
Build and integrate agent-powered product capabilities, and contribute to the architecture of the services and platform they rely on.
Improve backend performance, reliability, and scale, making architectural decisions that support future product needs.
Partner across engineering and product to deliver customer-focused projects in a fast-moving environment.
What We're Looking For
Five to ten years of software engineering experience, including end-to-end product ownership in early-stage or high-growth startup teams.
Experience shipping products or features at scale with measurable business impact, strong product judgment, and comfort with ambiguity.
Hands-on experience building agentic AI products and applying AI to real customer workflows.
Deep expertise in Python and/or TypeScript and Node.js, plus experience designing APIs, data models, and distributed systems.
Experience with PostgreSQL and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
A technical degree or equivalent strong computer science fundamentals, and the ability to collaborate across functions.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $200,000 to $300,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California. Candidates should be willing to work in person five days per week.
