Speech pathology roles in community and disability settings
About the role
Various speech pathology roles placed with Australian employers who sponsor qualified SLPs.
You'll hold a complex, varied caseload spanning paediatric disability, early intervention, AAC, and dysphagia, while contributing to clinical supervision and service development. Most positions sit within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Australia's government-funded support system for people with permanent and significant disability.
Speech pathologists with experience across complex presentations and independent community-based practice are well-suited to these roles. Prior Australian experience is not required.
What you'll do
Key responsibilities
Assess and treat communication disorders across language delays, speech sound disorders, social communication, fluency, and voice
Develop and deliver dysphagia assessments and mealtime management plans, including staff training for implementation
Conduct AAC assessments and implement augmentative and alternative communication programmes
Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, adapting to each client's goals and needs
Provide clinical services in community, home, and clinic settings, managing an independent caseload
Maintain accurate clinical records, progress notes, and billable hours documentation
Provide clinical supervision to junior clinicians and allied health assistants
Contribute to quality improvement, policy development, and multidisciplinary collaboration
Build and maintain professional networks with service providers and referral sources

How it works
We manage the recruitment and introduction process end to end — from your first conversation with us through to employer introduction. Our immigration partner, a MARA-registered firm, manages visa processing and employer sponsorship once you've been selected.
There is no cost to you at any point in the recruitment process. Visa and immigration costs are a separate matter between you, your employer, and the immigration agent — we'll explain this clearly before you commit to anything.
