Barcelona, Spain | Hybrid Working | Permanent Contract
Speak German. Build business relationships. Help companies unlock the potential of cloud technology.
Are you an experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys opening doors, engaging decision-makers, and turning business challenges into opportunities?
Take your sales career to the next level by joining a business development team representing Google Cloud solutions across the EMEA market. This role combines consultative selling, technology, and international business development, giving you the opportunity to connect companies with cloud solutions that support their growth, efficiency, and innovation.
You'll engage directly with business leaders, identify new opportunities, understand their technical and commercial needs, and connect qualified prospects with the right sales teams.
If you thrive on targets, enjoy outbound sales, and know how to turn a cold conversation into a meaningful business opportunity, this could be your next career move.
What makes this opportunity attractive?
Competitive annual compensation: €37,500 gross, including a €28,500 base salary and up to €9,000 in performance bonuses.
Permanent contract: Build your career with long-term employment.
Hybrid working model: Combine office collaboration with remote work.
International business exposure: Engage with companies and decision-makers across EMEA.
Google Cloud training: Develop your product knowledge through continuous training and certification opportunities.
Career progression: Follow an established career path supported by experienced coaches.
Relocation assistance: Flight to Barcelona, private individual studio accommodation subject to availability, and relocation and documentation assistance.
Team incentives: Participate in bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly contests.
Your role: Turn business conversations into sales opportunities
As a Technical Sales Representative, you'll be part of a Sales Development team focused on expanding the customer base for Google Cloud solutions across EMEA.
You'll be one of the first points of contact for businesses, helping prospective customers understand how cloud technology can address their operational and commercial needs. Your success will depend on your ability to identify promising accounts, build rapport quickly, ask the right questions, and qualify opportunities for the next stage of the sales process.
Your key responsibilities
1. Develop new business opportunities
Proactively identify, research, and engage potential business customers through outbound campaigns.
Conduct daily outbound calls, primarily cold calls, alongside email outreach and other campaign activities.
Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, focusing on new business opportunities and potential upselling.
Connect with C-level executives and other business decision-makers to initiate meaningful commercial conversations.
2. Understand customer needs and position solutions
Build rapport with prospective customers and understand their business priorities, challenges, and growth objectives.
Identify pain points and gather relevant business and technical requirements.
Connect customer needs with appropriate Google Cloud solutions through a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach.
Communicate the value of cloud technology clearly and confidently, adapting your pitch to different stakeholders.
Generate interest and guide qualified prospects toward the most appropriate next step in the sales process.
3. Qualify leads and build a strong pipeline
Assess prospects' potential, needs, and suitability for further engagement.
Identify robust sales opportunities and qualify leads for the relevant sales teams.
Maintain accurate records of leads, contacts, accounts, opportunities, and sales activities in Salesforce or the designated CRM.
Keep pipeline information up to date and prioritise activities according to business potential.
4. Deliver measurable results
Work toward individual and team targets, including activity levels, conversion rates, qualified opportunities, and pipeline generation.
Meet daily and weekly activity expectations and quarterly key performance indicators.
Monitor your performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and adjust your approach to achieve targets.
Collaborate with colleagues to support overall customer acquisition and business development objectives.
