Position Summary
The Warehouse Administrator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and plant logistics operations by performing warehouse system transactions, inventory administration, shipping documentation, and operational reporting. This position serves as a key link between warehouse operations, production, transportation, and administrative functions to ensure accurate inventory records and timely material movements.
While this role primarily focuses on warehouse systems and administrative responsibilities, the Warehouse Administrator is also expected to provide hands-on operational support, including receiving, shipping, inventory activities, and material handling, as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse System & Administrative Support
- Process warehouse transactions accurately using WMS, SAP, or ERP systems.
- Maintain inventory records through timely and accurate system updates.
- Perform receiving, shipping, inventory adjustment, transfer, and production movement transactions.
- Prepare and maintain warehouse documentation, reports, and operational records.
- Ensure all warehouse transactions are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with troubleshooting system transaction issues and coordinate with supervisors when necessary.
- Maintain warehouse master data, storage locations, and inventory information.
2. Inventory Administration
- Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate transaction discrepancies.
- Maintain lot control, batch tracking, FIFO/FEFO compliance, and material traceability.
- Assist with inventory aging reports and obsolete inventory tracking.
- Support month-end inventory closing and audit activities.
3. Shipping & Receiving Documentation
- Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, shipping labels, receiving documents, and inventory reports.
- Verify shipping and receiving documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate shipment documentation with carriers and transportation providers.
- Maintain filing and record retention in accordance with company policies.
4. Operational Support
- Support inbound receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and production material movements.
- Assist with loading and unloading operations as needed.
- Provide warehouse floor support during peak production periods or staffing shortages.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when certified and required.
- Assist supervisors in maintaining daily warehouse workflow.
5. Cross-functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Transportation, Quality, and Customer Service regarding inventory status and shipment schedules.
- Communicate inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, and system errors promptly.
- Support customer visits, internal audits, and inventory audits.
- Assist management with daily, weekly, and monthly operational reporting.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and EHS procedures.
- Maintain accurate warehouse documentation to support regulatory compliance.
- Participate in safety meetings, warehouse inspections, and 5S activities.
- Report safety concerns, damaged equipment, or operational risks immediately.
- Ensure safe operation of warehouse equipment and proper handling of materials.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of warehouse, logistics, or inventory administration experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using WMS, SAP, or ERP systems.
- Experience processing inventory and warehouse system transactions.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping documentation.
- Basic forklift operation experience or willingness to obtain forklift certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to support warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in battery, chemical, automotive, semiconductor, or other manufacturing industries.
- SAP WM, WMS, or similar warehouse management system experience.
- Experience supporting inventory audits and cycle count programs.
- Forklift certification.
- OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification preferred.
- Business-level Korean proficiency preferred.
