Role Description

We are looking for competent Academic Writers across different disciplines to join our pool of freelance writers.

Academic Writers will be responsible for conducting research and producing clear, original, well-structured, and evidence-based academic work in line with each assignment brief.

This is a remote, per-assignment role. Each available assignment will include the topic, scope, deadline, requirements, and payment. Writers may indicate availability based on their competence and schedule.

The standard turnaround time is generally seven (7) days, or as otherwise specified based on the urgency and requirements of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth academic and literature-based research.

• Develop high-quality academic content.

• Prepare literature reviews, research proposals, projects, dissertations, and research reports where assigned.

• Apply appropriate research methodologies where required.

• Analyse and interpret academic literature and research findings.

• Edit and proofread work for clarity, coherence, accuracy, and academic quality.

• Follow the required structure, word count, formatting, and assignment instructions.

• Complete revisions within agreed timelines.

• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards.

Academic Standards

Writers are expected to:

• Use credible, relevant, and verifiable academic sources published from 2020 onwards.

• Use older sources only where they are seminal theories, foundational studies, legislation, policies, or specifically required.

• Follow the referencing style stated in the assignment, including Harvard, APA 7th Edition, Vancouver, IEEE, OSCOLA, Chicago, or any other required style.

• Ensure accurate in-text citations and reference lists.

• Maintain strict originality and academic integrity.

• Never fabricate references, data, findings, or research information.

• Verify all AI-assisted content before submission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.

• Strong academic writing, research, and analytical skills.

• Good understanding of research methodology.

• Ability to critically analyse academic literature.

• Excellent command of written English.

• Strong attention to grammar, structure, referencing, and formatting.

• Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.

• Familiarity with academic databases and research tools is an advantage.
