Account Receivable (AR)

Role Description The Owner role at Work In Sport is a part-time, remote position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, growth, and daily operations of the platform. This includes shaping the overall vision, developing education and coaching offerings, and ensuring high-quality delivery of workshops, events, and the career coaching program. The Owner will manage partnerships with schools, speakers, and industry organizations, while coordinating marketing and content initiatives across social media and digital channels. Day-to-day tasks involve planning and reviewing program content, monitoring budgets and performance, guiding the small team or freelance collaborators, and identifying new opportunities to expand reach and impact. The role also requires maintaining strong relationships with students, educators, and sport industry stakeholders to keep offerings aligned with evolving career pathways.

Qualifications

• Experience in sports, education, or youth development, with a strong understanding of careers across the sport industry (e.g., coaching, media, business, science, tech, performance analysis).
• Skills in strategic planning, business development, and project management to oversee programs, partnerships, and events.
• Ability to design and evaluate educational content, workshops, and coaching curricula tailored to student needs.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills for engaging students, schools, mentors, and industry partners.
• Proficiency with digital platforms and social media for community building, content distribution, and brand visibility.
• Comfort with remote work tools, budgeting, and basic operations (e.g., scheduling, reporting, and vendor coordination).
• Prior experience leading a small organization, startup, or program is beneficial; background in entrepreneurship or management is an advantage.
