About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Development Trainer to teach learners how to build secure, scalable, and functional backend systems and APIs.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on backend development experience and the ability to guide learners through practical projects that reflect real-world software development.
Responsibilities
* Deliver practical and engaging Backend Development training sessions.
* Teach backend programming, APIs, databases, authentication, server-side development, and software architecture.
* Guide learners through practical backend projects.
* Teach relevant backend frameworks, tools, development workflows, and best practices.
* Introduce learners to Git, GitHub, testing, debugging, and deployment practices.
* Develop instructional slides, exercises, assignments, and project materials.
* Review learner projects and provide constructive technical feedback.
* Stay updated with current backend technologies and industry practices.
* Collaborate with the training team to improve curriculum and learning outcomes.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable professional experience in Backend Development.
* Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, PHP, C#, or Go.
* Good knowledge of databases, REST APIs, authentication, Git, and backend architecture.
* Experience building and deploying real-world backend applications.
* Previous teaching, mentoring, or facilitation experience is an advantage.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to beginners and intermediate learners.
* Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
* Passion for teaching and developing emerging software engineers.
