Conference Manager

Role Description The Conference Manager will oversee the planning and delivery of industry conferences and events related to the TCNA Handbook and tile installation best practices. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site responsibilities and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating event programs, managing timelines and logistics, liaising with speakers, sponsors, and vendors, and ensuring venues, technical setups, and materials are prepared. The role also involves monitoring budgets, handling participant registrations and inquiries, and maintaining high standards of attendee experience and customer service. The Conference Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to align each event with the organization’s strategic objectives and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage end-to-end conference activities, including Conference Management and Conference Organization skills.
• Experience in Event Planning, covering program development, logistics coordination, and vendor management.
• Competence in Budgeting for events, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
• Strong Customer Service skills to support attendees, speakers, and partners before, during, and after events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple events or tasks simultaneously.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Dubai, with the ability to attend on-site meetings and events as needed.
• Previous experience in professional conferences, trade events, or construction/building materials sectors is preferred.
• Proficiency with event management software, office productivity tools, and basic data reporting.
• Relevant academic background in Event Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field is beneficial.
