WE’RE HIRING: CONTENT CREATOR / DIGITAL NEWS REPORTER
Location: Remote (Nigeria)
Salary: ₦50,000 per month
Start Date: 1 August 2026 (Immediate resumption)
Tatafo Corner is looking for a creative, self-driven Content Creator/Digital News Reporter who understands how to research, analyze, and present trending stories in an engaging and original way.
This is not a role for someone who simply reposts videos from other pages. We are looking for someone who can identify stories, tell them professionally, and create original content suitable for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
Responsibilities
- Source and research trending stories.
- Analyze news and trending topics before reporting them.
- Write engaging scripts that keep viewers watching.
- Create original long-form YouTube videos and short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.
- Record clear voiceovers or present stories on camera (on-camera appearance is optional).
- Edit videos using CapCut or similar editing software.
- Design clean, clickable thumbnails using Canva.
- Add captions, transitions, branding elements, logos, and watermarks to all videos.
- Select appropriate visuals that enhance storytelling.
- Ensure every piece of content follows YouTube copyright best practices by avoiding copyrighted music, watermarked stock footage, or content likely to result in copyright claims or policy violations.
- Meet agreed deadlines consistently with little or no supervision.
- Produce four (4) original videos per week.
Requirements
Applicants should preferably have:
- A background in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Strong news writing and storytelling skills.
- A good understanding of current affairs, entertainment, celebrity lifestyle, politics, sports, social trends, and unusual local and global events.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of CapCut for video editing.
- Basic Canva skills for thumbnail creation.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to identify stories with high audience appeal.
- Clear spoken English for narration or voiceovers.
- Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.

- AI-generated videos will not be accepted.
