Content Strategy Specialist

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteer is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The coordinator will organize and oversee volunteer programs that support FASS activities, events, and outreach initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding volunteers, scheduling and assigning tasks, maintaining volunteer records, and supporting training sessions. The role also involves coordinating community outreach activities, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring volunteers have clear guidance and a positive experience. The coordinator will regularly report on volunteer engagement, identify areas for improvement, and help align volunteer initiatives with the faculty’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in volunteer management and volunteer training, including organizing programs and supporting diverse volunteer teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to engage volunteers, staff, and community partners effectively.
• Background in community outreach or engagement, with the capacity to build relationships and represent FASS in external activities.
• Organizational and time management skills to coordinate multiple events, schedules, and administrative tasks in a part-time hybrid environment.
• Proficiency with basic office software and online collaboration tools; experience with volunteer databases or CRM systems is an advantage.
• Prior experience in an academic, nonprofit, or community-focused setting is desirable.
• Relevant diploma or degree in social sciences, management, education, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
