Data Governance Manager

Role Description This part-time remote Data Governance Manager role at Cubo Digital focuses on establishing and maintaining data governance practices across the organization. The role involves defining and updating data policies, standards, and procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent data usage and compliance. The manager monitors data quality metrics, identifies issues, and drives remediation efforts to improve data accuracy, completeness, and reliability. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing master data management processes, documenting data definitions and lineage, and supporting stakeholders with guidance on data management best practices. The role also includes preparing reports and recommendations for leadership, helping prioritize data initiatives, and promoting a culture of responsible data stewardship.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Governance and Data Management to design, implement, and maintain organization-wide data policies and frameworks.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Data Quality to define quality standards, monitor metrics, and lead initiatives that resolve data issues and improve reliability.
• Candidates should possess experience in Master Data Management to manage core data entities, maintain consistency across systems, and support data integration efforts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with data governance tools, data catalogs, or metadata management platforms is beneficial.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
