Disaster Recovery Specialist

Infrastructure Disaster Recovery (DR) Specialist | Dublin | 12-Month Contract

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Infrastructure Disaster Recovery Specialist to join a leading global financial services organisation based in Dublin.

• Location: Dublin – Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
• Contract: 12 months initial

This is a technical role focused on infrastructure resilience, disaster recovery planning, testing and coordination across a complex enterprise IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate infrastructure Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing and recovery exercises.
• Work closely with infrastructure engineers, application owners and technical SMEs to assess and improve recovery capabilities.
• Support failover testing, DR automation and infrastructure remediation activities.
• Identify technical gaps and ensure DR plans and procedures are maintained and tested.
• Act as a key point of contact across infrastructure teams during DR testing and recovery events.

What We're Looking For:

• 7+ years' experience in infrastructure engineering – strong technical infrastructure knowledge is essential.
• 4+ years' experience in Disaster Recovery, including DR planning, testing and infrastructure resilience.
• SME-level understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including servers, databases, networking, storage, virtualisation and middleware.
• Experience working across multiple infrastructure teams in large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, automation and recovery technologies would be advantageous.
• Financial services experience is beneficial but not essential – candidates from other industries are welcome.
