Equipment Manager

Role Description The Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, allocation, maintenance, and performance of field and facility equipment used in E&P operations. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a combination of on-site presence and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day activities include tracking equipment availability, coordinating inspections and preventive maintenance, managing equipment documentation and records, and liaising with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely repairs and deliveries. The Equipment Manager will collaborate with field operations, HSE, and engineering teams to support safe use of equipment, optimize utilization, and control equipment-related costs. The role also involves monitoring equipment-related KPIs, identifying improvement opportunities, and contributing to procurement planning and lifecycle management strategies.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong equipment management and asset coordination skills, including experience in tracking utilization, scheduling maintenance, and managing inventories for field and facility equipment.
• Candidates should possess operational planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple equipment-related requests, and support field teams in a dynamic E&P environment.
• Candidates should possess basic technical understanding of E&P equipment and tools, with the ability to interpret equipment specifications, maintenance requirements, and vendor documentation.
• Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and service providers.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with digital tools such as spreadsheets, maintenance or asset management systems, and basic reporting tools to track equipment status and performance.
• Relevant experience in oil and gas, E&P operations, or industrial equipment management is beneficial.
• A relevant diploma or degree in engineering, operations management, or a technical field is preferred, along with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Ability to work part time in a hybrid arrangement in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for occasional on-site visits to facilities or field locations as needed.
