Role Description The Financial Sales Consultant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lagos, with a mix of in-office collaboration and flexibility for some work-from-home activities. This role involves meeting with clients to understand their financial goals, analyzing their current situation, and recommending suitable insurance, investment, and retirement planning solutions. The consultant will develop and present tailored financial plans, prepare proposals, and support clients through policy selection, onboarding, and ongoing portfolio reviews. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and networking to generate new business, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and coordinating closely with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery. The role also requires regular reporting on sales activities, staying informed about market trends and products, and adhering to regulatory and company compliance standards.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance, with practical knowledge of Financial Planning to assess client needs and design appropriate solutions.
• Experience advising on Investments and Retirement Planning, with the ability to explain options clearly and align recommendations with client objectives.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, evaluate risk, and compare product offerings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing work, including presentation, negotiation, and relationship management.
• Proven track record in sales or business development within financial services or insurance is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, managing time and priorities across in-office and remote work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and customer-centric service.
