Job Title: Grant Writing & Proposals Lead Type: Fixed-term contract (3 months, with potential renewal) Location: Remote, Nigeria-based Compensation: ₦75,000/month + post-contract upgrade pathway Reports to: Head of Operations Career Bridge Foundation is a UK-registered Community Interest Company building capability verification infrastructure for global talent. We help candidates prove what they can do — not just what their CV says — through structured workplace simulations that produce credentialled portfolio evidence. We are launching our Portfolio Simulations platform in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University in 2026 and growing our remote team to support the next phase. About the role You will lead Career Bridge Foundation's grant writing and proposal development function. This includes identifying funding opportunities, drafting compelling submissions, managing a small team of two Grant Writing Associates and one Proposal Writing Associate, and ensuring submissions are delivered on time and to a high standard. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will write, you will edit, and you will coach. You will work closely with the founder on strategic positioning of submissions, with the Head of Operations on delivery, and with external partners (Sheffield Hallam University, AI4CI, Secure Cyber Connect, and others) on collaborative bids. What you'll do Identify grant and funding opportunities aligned with Career Bridge Foundation's mission Lead the drafting of grant applications, working proposals, and partnership submissions Manage a small team of three Associates: assigning work, reviewing drafts, providing feedback Maintain a structured pipeline of opportunities in ClickUp with clear deadlines and ownership Coordinate with external collaborators and partners on joint submissions Report weekly on pipeline status, submissions made, and outcomes How to apply Submit: Your CV A brief cover note (no more than 300 words) telling us about a successful grant or proposal you led, what made it successful, and what you would have done differently Two writing samples (anonymised if necessary) — ideally one grant submission and one proposal Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a 30-minute interview with the Head of Operations. Requirements 3+ years of grant writing or proposal writing experience, ideally in social impact, education, technology, or international development sectors Demonstrated ability to lead and develop junior team members Excellent written English with a portfolio of successful submissions (please share) Strong project management skills; comfortable working in ClickUp or similar Self-directed, deadline-driven, and able to work across time zones Bonus: experience with UK funders, EU funders, or African development funders Benefits Paid contract experience leading a writing function at a growing CIC Direct mentorship from the founder, who has 20 years of experience leading bids and partnerships Career Bridge Grant Writing & Proposals Lead credential on completion Genuine pathway to a senior role on the Career Bridge team for strong performers
