Head of Strateg

Role Description The Head of Strategy is a part-time, remote role responsible for setting and guiding the strategic direction of the Saudi Legal Association. This role oversees the development and implementation of long-term plans for legal education events, research initiatives, and the annual Saudi Legal Symposium. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing organizational priorities, coordinating with academic and professional partners, and identifying opportunities for collaboration and growth. The Head of Strategy will work closely with leadership and committees to align programs with the Association’s mission, manage key projects and timelines, and track performance against strategic goals. The role also involves preparing strategic reports and recommendations, supporting fundraising and partnership development, and ensuring that initiatives are sustainable and impact-driven.

Qualifications

• Strategic planning and execution skills, including experience in setting goals, defining initiatives, and measuring impact.
• Background in law, public policy, or a related field, with familiarity in comparative, commercial, or regulatory legal contexts.
• Stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across academic, professional, and institutional settings.
• Project management abilities, including organizing events or programs, managing timelines, and coordinating remote teams.
• Strong analytical, research, and written communication skills for developing reports, proposals, and strategic documents.
• Experience or interest in legal education and scholarly research, particularly in international or cross-jurisdictional issues.
• Advanced degree in law (LL.B., J.D., LL.M., or equivalent) or a related discipline is preferred; significant relevant experience may substitute.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
