About

Montu pays people in Indonesia to produce language data used by AI companies. You choose tasks from a list and complete them on your phone, whenever you want. There is no schedule and no minimum.

The tasks

• Writing short passages in Javanese
• Recording your voice reading Javanese
• Photographing Javanese writing you find in public places

Rp 135.000 per hour of work you actually do, and more for tasks that ask you to travel. You are paid into your e-wallet.

How it works

1. Join the list with your phone number
2. We invite people in small groups
3. When you are invited, you complete one paid sample task so we can assess your Javanese. You are paid for it whether or not it passes
4. Then you choose tasks and complete them when it suits you. You are paid into your e-wallet

Requirements

• Fluent Javanese. You can recognise Aksara Jawa when you see it. You do not need to be able to write it.
• An Indonesian mobile number
• An e-wallet
• A phone with a camera

What we will tell you honestly. We are new. There is not always work available and some days there will be none. We are starting with a small group and we will say how much work exists rather than promise more than we have.
