Role Description The LATIN & NATIVE AMERICAN Language Contributor is a part-time remote role focused on supporting AI development and evaluation in Latin and Native American languages. Day-to-day tasks may include creating and refining text and audio data, translating and localizing content, annotating and labeling linguistic and cultural features, and validating language outputs for accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance. Contributors may assess AI-generated responses, provide human preference judgments, and participate in quality assurance workflows to ensure data meets project standards. The role involves following detailed project guidelines, collaborating with project coordinators, and using online tools and platforms to complete assigned tasks on schedule. Work hours are flexible but require reliability, attention to detail, and adherence to confidentiality and ethical data-handling practices.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in one or more Latin or Native American languages, along with solid command of English for instructions and reporting.
• Skills in linguistic tasks such as translation, localization, transcription, and text creation tailored to regional and cultural contexts.
• Experience or aptitude in data annotation, labeling, and evaluation of AI-generated content for accuracy, tone, and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to follow detailed guidelines, maintain consistency, and perform thorough quality checks on language and data outputs.
• Familiarity with digital tools, online platforms, and basic productivity software; comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and commitment to ethical data practices and confidentiality.
• Background in linguistics, language studies, translation, anthropology, or related fields is beneficial but not required.
• Prior experience in AI data work, content evaluation, or user research is a plus, especially involving underrepresented languages or communities.
