Role Description As a Latin & Native American Language Contributor at Leangoogs AI, you will support the development and evaluation of AI systems by working with languages from Latin America and Native American communities. In this remote, volunteer role, you may help collect and curate language data, perform text and audio annotation, transcription, and translation, and review content for linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance. You will contribute to quality assurance activities by validating datasets, giving feedback on AI outputs, and providing human preference judgments to improve language models. Day-to-day tasks can include following detailed project guidelines, working within online tools and platforms, and collaborating with project coordinators to ensure that language resources accurately represent local usage and community perspectives. Your contributions will help ensure that AI technologies better reflect and serve diverse voices across Latin & Native American languages.

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in at least one Latin American or Native American language, plus solid command of English for communication and documentation.
- Skills in language-related tasks such as transcription, translation, annotation, and text review, with attention to detail and consistency.
- Understanding of cultural context, regional expressions, and community perspectives, enabling accurate and respectful handling of language data.
- Ability to follow structured guidelines, work with online tools, manage time independently, and meet agreed-upon deadlines in a remote setting.
- Background in linguistics, language studies, anthropology, or related fields is beneficial but not required; prior experience with data labeling, AI evaluation, or research projects is a plus.
- Commitment to ethical data practices, confidentiality, and responsible representation of Latin & Native American communities in AI systems.
