Legal Director

Role Description The Legal Director at LAL Pesquisa Clínica will provide strategic legal guidance for clinical research operations, ensuring that all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This part-time, remote role involves overseeing contract drafting, review, and negotiation with sponsors, partners, and vendors, as well as advising on corporate transactions and risk mitigation. The Legal Director will monitor regulatory changes affecting clinical trials, develop and update internal policies, and support cross-functional teams with clear, practical legal advice. The role also includes managing legal disputes or claims, coordinating with external counsel when necessary, and presenting legal insights to leadership to support informed decision-making.
Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Law and Legal Issues, with the ability to interpret and apply regulations relevant to clinical research and healthcare.
• Proficiency in Legal Compliance, including designing and implementing policies and procedures that align with regulatory and ethical standards.
• Experience in Contract Management, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements related to clinical trials and corporate operations.
• Knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), particularly in assessing legal risks and structuring transactions in the healthcare or life sciences sectors.
• Advanced degree in Law (JD, LLM, or equivalent) and active license to practice, as required by jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior legal role, preferably within clinical research, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or a related regulated industry.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
