Our proprietary methodology builds sustainable enabled ecosystems that maximize ROI and accelerate speed to market. By embedding AI into commercial workflows, we help clients move faster and stay ahead. The Role As our Management Accountant, you will play a critical, hands-on role in driving the day-to-day finance operations across our multi-entity group. Working in a small, agile, and flat team, you will own the month-end close for key global entities—handling revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis. Your daily cadence will span preparing board pack inputs, managing multi-currency cash flow across global accounts, running UK and APAC payroll changes, supporting credit control escalations, and guiding our Accounts Assistant. As BPX continues its aggressive PE-backed growth, you will also get direct exposure to acquisition integrations, audit management, and system optimizations. Responsibilities Own month-end close procedures across assigned global entities (EMEA, NA, APAC), including journals, reconciliations, and variance notes. Prepare monthly commentary, cash flow slides, and group balance sheet inputs for executive board packs. Submit monthly payroll updates for UK and APAC operations, arranging bank releases and payments. Manage group cash flow forecasting across multi-currency accounts and support intercompany funding. Support external audit processes, quarterly VAT returns (UK), and tax compliance across regions. Assist with business acquisition integrations, system migrations, and earnout calculations. Administer and optimize finance systems (Sage Intacct, Lightyear, Expensify). Provide support and guidance to the Accounts Assistant and handle escalations for credit control. Requirements Nearly qualified or newly qualified (ACCA or CIMA strongly preferred). Proven industry background within commercial SME or mid-market businesses (not pure practice). Demonstrated experience managing management accounts for multi-entity and multi-currency operations (GBP, USD minimum). Solid grounding in core accounting controls, revenue recognition, prepayments, and accruals. Hands-on experience processing or submitting payroll updates. Strong Excel capabilities and familiarity with modern ERP/finance systems (e.g., Sage Intacct). Collaborative, down-to-earth mindset with a desire to work in a fast-paced, flat team structure. Ability to work in a hybrid capacity (2 days per week onsite in Liverpool). Why this opportunity is unique This role offers rare, early-career exposure to a high-growth, PE-backed global business where you will gain hands-on experience in M&A integrations, multi-currency consolidations, and board reporting, with a clear trajectory toward a Finance Manager or Financial Controller position.
