We are EQ, a fintech that connects the future of capital, communications, and governance — building trust and confidence in every market we serve. Our 5,000 employees support over 20 million shareholders and 12,000 leading organizations globally. EQ’s mission is to digitize every aspect of shareholder interaction, making investments more accessible, transparent and more engaging than ever before. With the integration of Notified, EQ is the only global technology partner dedicated to both public relations and investor relations solutions.

Summary

EQ Governance Advisory (formerly Prism Cosec), part of the Equiniti Group, provides corporate governance and company secretarial services to quoted and unquoted companies operating to UK governance standards.

Our experienced team of Chartered Secretaries and governance professionals supports clients with board governance, meeting management, annual reporting, and their legal and regulatory responsibilities.

We are looking for an experienced Company Secretarial Professional at Manager level to join our team. You will manage a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality company secretarial and governance advice as part of a wider client delivery team. You will also play a key role in delegating work, supporting and developing junior team members, while ensuring an excellent service is delivered to our clients.

Location:

London or surrounding areas within a reasonable commuting distance

What Part You Will Play in Our Growth

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of a portfolio of client entities, identifying and advising on company secretarial, governance and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee the maintenance of statutory records and compliance diaries, ensuring regulatory and filing deadlines are communicated and met.
  • Review and oversee the preparation and filing of statutory forms, returns and supporting documentation, including Companies House Confirmation Statements.
  • Review incorporation documentation prepared by junior colleagues and ensure technical accuracy.
  • Respond to complex and non-routine client queries, applying company secretarial knowledge and professional judgement.
  • Prepare non-routine minutes and provide statutory information and reports to clients as required.
  • Support Board and Committee meetings, including drafting agendas, preparing meeting packs and coordinating meeting administration.
  • Work closely with Client Directors and Senior Managers to deliver services across the client portfolio.
  • Support work for PLC clients, including governance health checks and preparation of AGM documentation.
  • Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments, understand their practical impact on clients and recommend appropriate action.
  • Develop and improve internal processes and procedures to support efficient, timely and high-quality client delivery.
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues, developing their technical company secretarial knowledge and reviewing their work for accuracy and quality.
  • Manage and delegate work to junior members of client delivery teams, supporting effective workload management and development.
  • Attend virtual and in-person client meetings as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, advisers and key stakeholders.
