About Fiscal 12
Fiscal 12 is a strategic accounting and finance partner to growing manufacturing businesses in the United States. We help our clients strengthen financial operations, improve visibility into profitability and cash flow, and make better business decisions.
Our team works across multiple client engagements, delivering accounting, financial reporting, financial planning, and advisory services. Behind this work is a growing team of professionals, workflows, systems, and processes that must operate effectively together.
We are looking for someone who can help keep those moving parts organized, connected, and running smoothly.
The role
We are seeking a proactive, highly organized, and analytical Operations Analyst – Workflow & People Operations to support the effective delivery of our client engagements and internal operations.
This role sits at the intersection of workflow management, team coordination, people operations, and process improvement. You will help maintain visibility into work across multiple client portfolios, monitor deadlines and commitments, identify operational bottlenecks, and coordinate follow-through on outstanding actions.
You will also support employee onboarding, performance management processes, learning and development activities, and other people-related initiatives.
This is not simply a task-tracking or administrative support role. We are looking for someone who can recognize when something is not working, ask the right questions, coordinate the appropriate response, and follow through until the issue is resolved. You will work closely with Client Leads and leadership to ensure the team has the structure, information, and support needed to deliver consistently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workflow Management & Client Delivery Coordination
- Monitor workflows, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple client portfolios.
- Coordinate daily workflow and communication triage to ensure incoming requests are appropriately assigned and acknowledged.
- Track outstanding commitments and follow up with responsible team members to support timely completion.
- Identify overdue tasks, stalled workflows, competing priorities, and potential delivery risks.
- Work with Client Leads to understand operational bottlenecks and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain visibility into upcoming deadlines and ensure potential issues are escalated early.
- Support consistent use of workflow management systems and established operating procedures.
2. Operational Reporting & Performance Visibility
- Prepare weekly operational reports highlighting workflow exceptions, delivery risks, team capacity concerns, and outstanding actions.
- Identify recurring patterns in missed deadlines, delayed responses, or incomplete workflows.
- Track operational performance indicators and support improvements in team productivity and service delivery.
- Provide leadership with concise, actionable updates rather than simply reporting completed activities.
- Maintain action trackers and follow through on agreed improvement initiatives.
3. People Operations & Employee Development
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including documentation, schedules, and collaboration with IT and relevant team members.
- Maintain employee records, onboarding checklists, and people operations trackers.
- Coordinate performance review schedules, probation evaluations, and development plan follow-ups.
- Support the planning and administration of internal learning and development activities.
- Monitor completion of assigned training and development actions.
- Help ensure people-related processes are completed accurately, consistently, and on schedule.
4. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify inefficiencies, recurring workflow issues, and opportunities to simplify internal processes.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures, workflows, and internal process guidelines.
- Recommend practical improvements to team coordination, task management, and operational reporting.
- Support the implementation of approved process changes and monitor their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with team members to improve the consistency and reliability of internal operations.
5. Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a coordination point between Client Leads, team members, and leadership on operational matters.
- Communicate clearly and professionally regarding deadlines, outstanding actions, and operational priorities.
- Escalate significant risks promptly, providing relevant context, actions already taken, and recommended next steps.
- Coordinate meetings, operational reviews, and follow-up actions where required.
- Promote a culture of proactive communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in operations coordination, project coordination, workflow management, or business operations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, track commitments, and follow through on outstanding actions.
- Experience using workflow, project management, or task management systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Comfortable working in a remote, deadline-driven, and collaborative environment.
Preferred
- Experience supporting a professional services, accounting, finance, or consulting organization.
- Familiarity with workflow management tools such as Karbon, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to employee onboarding, performance management, or learning and development coordination.
- Experience preparing operational reports, dashboards, or performance trackers.
- Familiarity with process documentation and continuous improvement methodologies.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means:
- Client delivery workflows are monitored consistently, with potential delays identified before deadlines are missed.
- Outstanding actions are followed through, with clear ownership and visibility.
- Client Leads receive timely information about workflow bottlenecks, capacity concerns, and operational risks.
- Leadership receives concise operational reporting that highlights what requires attention and what is being done about it.
- Onboarding, performance reviews, and employee development activities are coordinated on schedule.
- Recurring operational problems are identified, addressed, and progressively reduced.
- Team members experience clearer processes, better coordination, and fewer avoidable surprises.
What We Offer
- Exposure to the operations of a growing strategic accounting and finance advisory firm.
- Opportunities to work closely with experienced finance professionals and business leadership.
- Hands-on experience in workflow management, people operations, and operational improvement.
- Structured learning, mentorship, and professional development.
- A collaborative, remote-first work environment.
- Opportunities for career growth into operations management and broader business leadership roles.
Who Will Thrive at Fiscal 12?
You'll enjoy this role if you:
- Naturally notice when something is falling through the cracks.
- Enjoy bringing structure and clarity to complex situations.
- Are comfortable following up with colleagues and holding commitments visible.
- Take initiative rather than waiting for instructions.
- Think beyond whether a task has been updated to whether the underlying issue has been resolved.
- Communicate challenges early and come prepared with possible solutions.
- Enjoy supporting people while maintaining clear expectations.
- Take pride in making teams and processes work better.
At Fiscal 12, operational excellence isn't about keeping track of activities. It's about helping the right work get done, by the right people, at the right time.
