Freelance Recruitment Consultant, South Africa (Self Employed, Remote)

Smyth & Co is looking to partner with an independent recruiter based in South Africa.

We recruit for the very top end of luxury hospitality. Think five star hotels, ultra luxury resorts, Michelin starred restaurants and private households, across the UK, Europe, the Caribbean, the US and beyond.

How it works

This is a self employed, independent contractor opportunity, not a job. You’ll run your own business, use your own equipment, invoice us for your placements and look after your own tax. You’re free to keep working with other clients alongside us.

We’re here if you want support, market insight or a sounding board on a search.

What we’re looking for

You’ve got recruitment experience, ideally in hospitality, luxury or executive search. You know how to find great people and close a placement, and you’re happy working independently.

You’re confident with tech. You’re comfortable with LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS systems and the usual office tools, and you already use AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to speed up your sourcing, research and writing.

A network in South Africa, the wider Africa region or the Middle East would be a real bonus.
