Reliability Manager

Role Description The Reliability Manager role is a part-time remote position responsible for ensuring the long-term performance and dependability of battery and electronic products. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing product failure data, establishing reliability test plans, and monitoring reliability metrics across product lines. The role involves collaborating with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to identify root causes of reliability issues and recommend design or process improvements. The Reliability Manager will prepare reports, maintain documentation of reliability analyses, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product lifespan and reduce warranty claims. This role also includes remote participation in cross-functional meetings and providing guidance on reliability standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong background in reliability engineering, product testing, and failure analysis for electrical or electronic components.
• Experience with data analysis, statistical methods, and reliability modeling tools (e.g., Weibull analysis, FMEA, reliability prediction techniques).
• Knowledge of battery technologies, electronic manufacturing processes, and relevant industry standards or regulations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical findings in a clear, concise manner.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in reliability or quality roles within manufacturing or automotive/electronics sectors is highly beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage part-time remote responsibilities independently.
• Familiarity with quality management systems, root cause analysis methods (such as 8D, fishbone diagrams), and continuous improvement practices is preferred.
