Reporting Analyst Assistant

The role
We need a Reporting Analyst Assistant to help us audit data flows and maintain the reports our client relies on for their daily operations. You will work closely with our consultants to find where data is getting stuck or mislabeled in the pipeline. This is a fully remote, full-time position focused on the practical side of data management.

What you will do

• Review daily data exports from the fintech platform to identify missing or inconsistent entries.
• Compare figures between the transaction database and the final monthly reports to find discrepancies.
• Update internal documentation and standard operating procedures whenever a reporting process changes.
• Check system logs to see why a scheduled data sync failed and report the findings to the technical team.
• Help clean up spreadsheets that have become too cluttered or complex for the client to manage.
• Verify that new user tags are correctly flowing into the financial reporting tool after system updates.
• Monitor shared email queues for report requests and gather the necessary data from existing dashboards.
• Track the status of data cleanup tasks to ensure everything is resolved before the month-end close.

What we are looking for

• Strong familiarity with Excel, including basic formulas and the ability to organize large sets of information.
• Clear and concise writing skills for creating documentation that other people can actually follow.

• Persistence when a number does not add up and you have to trace it back to the source.
