Retail Director

Role Description The Retail Director role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The Retail Director oversees daily store performance, aligning sales, merchandising, and customer service activities with overall business objectives. This role includes monitoring sales targets, analyzing performance data, and implementing strategies to drive revenue and improve customer experience. The Retail Director leads and mentors store teams, coordinates staffing needs, and ensures operational standards, policies, and procedures are consistently followed. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with senior leadership on retail initiatives, managing vendor relationships, and supporting promotional campaigns and in-store events.
Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management, with strong knowledge of retail operations and customer experience best practices.
• Team Management skills, including the ability to lead, coach, and develop diverse retail teams.
• Sales expertise with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and implementing effective sales strategies.
• Operations Management skills, including process optimization, inventory control, and store efficiency improvements.
• Budgeting skills for managing store-level budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site leadership with remote coordination.
• Experience in the Dubai or GCC retail market is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
