  • Collaborate with underwriters, brokers, claims specialists, aviation engineers, safety professionals, and reinsurers to clarify technical risk issues.
  • Monitor aviation incidents, accident trends, regulatory developments, and changes in operational practices that may affect risk profiles.
  • Support scenario analysis and stress testing for major aviation loss events, including aircraft accidents, ground incidents, and third-party liability events.
  • Evaluate aviation risk accumulation across fleets, airports, geographic regions, and other concentration points.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of aviation risk assessment frameworks, underwriting guidelines, and internal control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessment methodologies, findings, assumptions, and recommendations.
  • Support portfolio reviews, claims trend analysis, internal audits, and risk governance activities as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Science, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related discipline.
  • Typically 7–10 years of relevant experience in aviation risk assessment, aviation insurance underwriting, aviation safety, operational risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of aviation operations, aircraft systems, fleet management, maintenance requirements, and operational safety principles.
  • Knowledge of aviation insurance products, including aircraft hull, aviation liability, passenger liability, and other relevant coverage types.
  • Familiarity with aviation safety management systems, accident investigation principles, and operational risk assessment methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical aviation reports, safety documentation, aircraft records, and risk exposure data.
  • Understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks and industry standards, including relevant requirements issued by ICAO, EASA, or applicable national aviation authorities.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation recommendations, and preparing technical reports for business decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant risk analysis or reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical aviation risks to non-technical stakeholders.
