Senior Backend Developer – AI, APIs & LLM Integration Location: Remote Timings: 4 pm - 12 am (Monday to Friday) Employment :Type Full-Time / Contract About the Role We are seeking an outstanding Backend Developer who can architect, build, test, deploy, and optimize scalable backend systems while leveraging the latest AI technologies. This is not a traditional backend role. We are looking for someone who can rapidly evaluate emerging technologies, integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), design intelligent APIs, and build AI-powered services that can scale globally. Key Responsibilities * Design scalable backend architectures from the ground up. * Build secure RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, and microservices. * Develop cloud-native backend platforms. * Design scalable databases and caching strategies. * Integrate multiple AI providers and LLM APIs. * Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. * Develop AI agents capable of reasoning, orchestration, and workflow automation. * Design prompt engineering frameworks and AI pipelines. * Implement vector databases and semantic search. * Develop event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing. * Build automated testing frameworks. * Implement CI/CD pipelines. * Monitor, optimize, and secure production environments. * Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements. * Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. * 5+ years of backend software development. * Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, Java, or Go. * Experience with FastAPI, Express.js, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks. * Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases. * Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies. * Experience designing scalable APIs. * Strong understanding of distributed systems. * Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. * Experience deploying on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. * Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines. AI & Modern Technology Requirements Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience with several of the following: * OpenAI API * Anthropic Claude API * Google Gemini API * Meta Llama models * Model Context Protocol (MCP) * Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) * Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, ChromaDB, pgvector) * AI Agents and multi-agent frameworks * LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or equivalent AI orchestration frameworks * Function calling and tool integration * Prompt engineering and evaluation * Embeddings and semantic search * Streaming AI responses * AI observability and monitoring * API integrations with third-party platforms (Stripe, Twilio, Firebase, Auth0, SendGrid, etc.) Preferred Qualifications * Experience building AI-native products. * Experience with event-driven architectures. * Experience with serverless platforms. * Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices. * Experience with blockchain or Web3 technologies. * Experience with data engineering or MLOps. * Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
