About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Distributed Transaction Specialist to design, optimize, and troubleshoot distributed transaction systems across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in transaction consistency, concurrency control, distributed systems, and fault-tolerant architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize distributed transaction workflows across microservices and enterprise systems.
• Implement transaction management strategies, including two-phase commit (2PC), Saga patterns, and eventual consistency.
• Diagnose transaction failures, deadlocks, data inconsistencies, and distributed coordination issues.
• Optimize transaction throughput, latency, reliability, and resource utilization.
• Develop recovery, rollback, retry, and idempotency mechanisms to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with software engineering, database, and platform teams to improve system architecture.
• Monitor transaction performance and investigate production incidents using logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Establish technical standards and documentation for transaction processing, consistency, and fault recovery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in distributed systems, backend engineering, transaction processing, or database architecture.
• Strong knowledge of distributed transaction protocols, concurrency control, ACID properties, and consistency models.
• Experience with microservices, relational databases, message queues, and distributed application architectures.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Go, or another backend programming language.
• Familiarity with Kafka, database transaction management, distributed tracing, and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
