Senior Java Developer

We build and manage remote operational support and development teams, while also supporting our freelance collaborators during their journey.

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications built on a microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications using Vert.x and microservices architecture.
• Develop reliable, scalable, performant, and secure backend services that meet business requirements and SLAs.
• Implement OAuth-based authentication and develop unit and integration tests.
• Improve development workflows, build processes, code quality, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Support application deployment and configuration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply secure coding practices and implement appropriate logging and auditing mechanisms.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow Git-based development workflows, including pull requests and code reviews.
• Collaborate with the development team, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and estimate tasks when required.
• Communicate technical information clearly and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• More than 9 years of Java backend development experience, including REST APIs, RDBMS, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and BDD.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Vert.x, Spring Boot 3, OOP principles, SOLID principles, and backend application design.
• Experience with Java/Vert.x solutions, Apache NiFi 2.0, TensorFlow, TensorFlow Java bindings, and OAuth implementations.
• Sound knowledge of Apache Camel, Enterprise Integration Patterns, ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ, and Kafka Streams.
• Good knowledge of secure coding practices, Java unit testing, integration testing, validation, logging, and auditing.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience with Git and pull request workflows, Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
• Familiarity with the Vue.js JavaScript framework.
