Senior Microsoft Intune Implementation Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Intune Implementation Engineer with deep, hands-on experience designing, deploying, and optimizing Microsoft Intune environments.

This is not an Intune administration or support-only position.

The ideal candidate has personally implemented Intune from the ground up, migrated organizations into modern endpoint management, built device configuration and compliance frameworks, deployed Windows Autopilot, and integrated Intune with Microsoft Entra ID and the broader Microsoft 365 security ecosystem.

You should be comfortable owning an Intune implementation from discovery and design through deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, and handoff.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft Intune environments from the ground up.
  
• Assess existing endpoint environments and develop migration strategies into Intune.
  
• Configure and manage Windows Autopilot deployment profiles and enrollment workflows.
  
• Design device compliance policies, configuration profiles, security baselines, and Conditional Access integrations.
  
• Deploy and manage applications through Intune, including Microsoft 365 Apps, Win32 applications, and line-of-business applications.
  
• Build and troubleshoot application deployment, detection, requirement, and remediation logic.
  
• Configure Windows Update for Business and update rings.
  
• Implement endpoint security policies using Intune and Microsoft Defender.
  
• Integrate Intune with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Conditional Access, and Defender for Endpoint.
  
• Develop PowerShell scripts and proactive remediation packages for endpoint management and automation.
  
• Troubleshoot complex enrollment, policy, application deployment, authentication, and device compliance issues.
  
• Support Windows endpoint migrations from traditional Active Directory, Group Policy, or other device-management platforms.
  
• Document configurations, deployment standards, technical procedures, and client environments.
  
• Work directly with technical teams and customers during implementation projects.

Candidates should have strong hands-on implementation experience, not simply day-to-day administration of an existing Intune environment.

• Co-management or migration from Microsoft Configuration Manager / SCCM
  
• Apple or Android device management through Intune
  
• Microsoft security technologies
  
• Multi-client or MSP environments
  
• Designing standardized Intune configurations across multiple organizations
  
• Leading endpoint modernization or Microsoft 365 migration projects
  

What We Are Specifically Looking For

We are looking for someone who can answer yes to questions like:

• Have you personally designed and implemented an Intune environment from scratch?
  
• Have you deployed Windows Autopilot into production?
  
• Have you created compliance, configuration, security, and Conditional Access policies yourself?
  
• Have you packaged and deployed Win32 applications through Intune?
  
• Have you migrated endpoints from traditional Active Directory/GPO management into modern management?
  
• Have you troubleshot failed enrollments, application deployments, compliance issues, and policy conflicts?
  
• Could you independently lead an Intune implementation for a customer?
  

Candidates whose experience is primarily helpdesk support, Microsoft 365 administration, or managing devices inside an already-established Intune environment are unlikely to be a fit for this position.
