About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Premium Reconciliation Specialist to oversee insurance premium reconciliation, investigate payment discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial records. The successful candidate will coordinate with finance, underwriting, brokers, and insurers to resolve outstanding balances and improve reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile insurance premiums, receipts, refunds, commissions, and outstanding balances.
• Investigate discrepancies between accounting records, bank statements, and insurer or broker reports.
• Monitor premium collections, overdue payments, and unapplied cash.
• Coordinate with finance, underwriting, brokers, and insurers to resolve reconciliation issues.
• Maintain accurate records of premium transactions and adjustments.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and applicable UAE requirements.
• Identify process improvements to increase accuracy and reduce outstanding items.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in premium reconciliation, insurance accounting, or financial operations.
• Strong understanding of insurance premiums, broker accounts, commissions, and payment processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or reconciliation systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently remotely.
