About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to provide remote diagnostic imaging quality oversight, technical consultation, imaging workflow coordination, and clinical documentation support. The successful candidate will work with radiologists, radiographers, healthcare professionals, and imaging department managers to promote image quality, protocol consistency, radiation safety, and operational efficiency. This position is fully remote and focuses on technical review, quality monitoring, professional guidance, and virtual coordination rather than performing scans or providing hands-on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical guidance and professional support for diagnostic imaging operations.
• Review radiographic image quality, positioning documentation, exposure parameters, and imaging records.
• Evaluate imaging protocols to promote consistency and adherence to established clinical and technical standards.
• Monitor imaging workflow performance, examination turnaround times, and departmental productivity indicators.
• Coordinate with radiologists, radiographers, clinicians, and imaging department managers.
• Review imaging documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with departmental procedures.
• Identify image quality issues, repeat examination trends, and opportunities to improve imaging practices.
• Support the development, review, and implementation of standard operating procedures and imaging protocols.
• Monitor quality assurance records relating to imaging equipment, calibration, maintenance, and performance.
• Review radiation protection documentation and support compliance monitoring.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigation documentation, and corrective action planning.
• Support quality improvement initiatives across diagnostic imaging services.
• Analyze departmental reports, imaging activity, resource utilization, and operational trends.
• Provide remote training, mentoring, and technical guidance to radiography teams.
• Assist with the evaluation of new imaging technologies, software, and workflow improvements.
• Support audit preparation and review evidence relating to imaging quality and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of technical reviews, recommendations, and quality monitoring activities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary virtual meetings and provide technical input on imaging service improvements.
• Monitor developments in radiographic techniques, imaging technology, and professional standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, Radiologic Technology, or a related discipline.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in medical imaging or healthcare management is an advantage.
• Valid professional registration or licensing appropriate to the candidate's qualifications and jurisdiction.
• Significant experience in diagnostic radiography or medical imaging services.
• Previous experience in a senior radiographer, imaging specialist, or radiology quality support role.
• Strong understanding of X-ray imaging principles, patient positioning, exposure factors, and image quality.
• Familiarity with CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, mammography, or other imaging modalities, depending on specialization.
• Knowledge of radiation protection, dose optimization, and imaging safety principles.
• Experience reviewing imaging protocols, technical records, and quality assurance documentation.
• Understanding of healthcare quality management systems and relevant accreditation standards.
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, DICOM workflows, and electronic health record systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical imaging information clearly to multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and professional standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant imaging information systems.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with distributed clinical teams.
• Knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations and licensing requirements is an advantage.
