Senior SAP Basis Consultant (Freelance)

Role Description

The Senior SAP Basis Consultant role is a remote contract position responsible for the technical stability and performance of SAP landscapes. Day-to-day activities include managing SAP Basis administration tasks, monitoring system health, performing system copies, upgrades, and patches, and ensuring high availability and security across SAP environments. The consultant will handle complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning, working closely with functional teams, developers, and infrastructure specialists. Additional responsibilities include database administration related to SAP systems, advising stakeholders on best practices, and supporting migration projects, cloud integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Digital Customer Engagement Manager:

• Customer facing and technical expertise
• Supporting end-to-end effective engagement and delivery of contractual agreement and services towards the customer
• CEM shall work in seamless collaboration with other SAP Enterprise Cloud Services functions to enable delivery of committed scope, while resolving technical complexities throughout customer engagement lifecycle.
• Engineering graduate with minimum 4+ years of work experience as SAP technical consultant with 2+ years in customer facing role (consulting, IT support, IT services etc.)
• Excellent customer focus / Networking / Relationship Building /Results-driven / Self-organized / Decision making
• Strong knowledge of IT Service Management, SAP Basis and SAP Application
• Hands on experience with SAP Basis activities, SAP release upgrades and infrastructure updates for cloud customers
• Good understanding of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services operations infrastructure, processes and automation tools like SPC, TIC etc. is a plus
• Knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals, ITIL, Lean Fundamentals is a plus
• Cloud architecture and IT technical infrastructure know-how
• Hyperscaler understanding and experience
• Technical and application expertise for different cloud solutions (min. HEC & S/4HANA)
• Understanding of escalation handling and procedures
• Experience in working with cross-cultural and cross-functional teams or individuals
• Proficiency in English (Written and verbal), additional (local) languages are plus
• For Associate role: minimum 4 years work experience
• For Senior role : minimum 6 to 8 years work experience.
