Senior Transport Referent (F/M)

As a Specialist Logistics & Customs (F/M), you will support our international logistics operations, with a strong focus on transportation, customs activities and Intrastat reporting.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and monitoring special transportation requests by road, air or sea, both from suppliers to Marquardt and from Marquardt to customers.
• Coordinating import and export activities and working closely with customs brokers to ensure that all required customs clearance documentation is accurate and available on time.
• Preparing and managing Intrastat declarations for arrivals and dispatches, including data entry, verification, cross-checking, corrections and revisions.
• Requesting and following up on missing information from suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure complete and accurate reporting.
• Preparing documentation required for customs clearance, audits or inspections and maintaining communication with the relevant customs authorities when necessary.
• Generating UIT codes and supporting the related operational and documentation processes.
• Collaborating closely with internal departments requesting special transportation and providing regular updates regarding shipment status and potential issues.
• Checking transportation invoices, validating the related information and supporting the invoice approval and payment process.
• Contributing to the continuous development and improvement of existing Supply Chain and transportation processes.
  
  

Candidate profile

• degree in Economics, Logistics, Transportation or a comparable field.
• minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within an automotive or international manufacturing environment.
• practical experience in transportation and logistics operations and a good understanding of international transportation processes.
• solid knowledge of customs and import/export procedures, including customs clearance documentation and cooperation with customs brokers.
• familiar Intrastat regulations, arrivals and dispatches, statistical declarations and data-validation requirements.
• experience with UIT code generation and Romanian e-Transport requirements is considered an advantage.
• experience working with IT systems used for logistics data entry, verification and documentation management.
