Job Title: Talent Screening Associate
Monthly Pay: NGN 295,110 - 702,510 per month
Summary:
Take one applicant from an introductory screening call through basic fit questions to an agreed next step. Incoming applications become candidate lists that recruiters share for you to call. You listen to answers, explain the process, and arrange interviews when candidates meet the recruiter's basic rules. Your goal is to leave candidates well informed and recruiters ready for their next conversation. A recruiting team lead provides approved questions, checks your work, and helps with unfamiliar requests. This phone-based role is fully remote, with all tasks arranged so you can work from home. The role pays a monthly base salary plus bonus opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Review the candidate list in an applicant tracking system such as Lever. Plan calls around outstanding screening questions and follow-ups.
• Call each applicant through a business phone system such as Dialpad. Introduce yourself and explain why you are calling.
• Ask approved questions about interest, availability, workspace, and spoken English. Listen without interrupting and write clear answers for the recruiter.
• Explain the next step using approved information. Answer simple questions, and refer unfamiliar requests to the recruiting team lead.
• Use the recruiter's rules to mark candidates ready, not ready, or not suitable. Record the reason without adding unsupported judgments.
• Arrange suitable candidates' interviews using a scheduling and calendar tool such as Google Calendar. Check the selected date and time together.
• Repeat the interview arrangements before ending the call. Explain who the candidate will speak with and what happens next.
• Send a short reminder before each interview. Contact candidates after missed interviews and help arrange another time when appropriate.
• Save each call result, answers, and next action in the candidate record. Share complete screening notes before the recruiter's interview.
• Mark wrong numbers, duplicate entries, and withdrawals so the next call list stays clear. Keep candidate information private throughout.
• Meet quality standards through accurate notes, polite calls, correct bookings, and prompt follow-up. Use feedback to improve the next conversation.
Qualifications:
• Professional spoken and written English, because calls are generally with candidates and teams in the United States.
• A computer, a mobile phone, a stable internet connection, and reliable electricity.
• No recruiting experience is required. Related phone screening, customer service, or interview scheduling experience is preferred.
• A calm, friendly phone voice and confidence introducing yourself to someone who has not spoken with you before.
• Ability to follow a short question guide, listen carefully, and separate a candidate's answers from your own assumptions.
• Willingness to learn the named applicant tracking, business phone, and calendar tools through guided practice and feedback.
• Care when entering answers, checking dates, and matching interview details between candidate records and the recruiter's calendar.
• Respect for candidate privacy, including care when discussing information and sharing notes only with the appropriate recruiting contacts.
• Ability to write brief, useful call summaries and recognize when a question needs the recruiting team lead's support.
Perks & Benefits:
• A fully remote work from home arrangement for candidate calls, interview bookings, and team updates.
• Structured onboarding and training on the named tools, approved questions, screening steps, and interview booking process.
• Regular check-ins with the team lead to review calls, discuss questions, and receive practical feedback.
• Explore growth opportunities within the team as you build screening knowledge and confidence with candidate conversations.
• Bonus opportunities.
