Trade Finance Specialist / Trade Operations Analyst

Role Description This part-time remote role as a Trade Finance Specialist / Trade Operations Analyst focuses on supporting end-to-end trade finance transactions and operational processes. The role includes reviewing, structuring, and processing trade finance instruments such as letters of credit, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and internal policies. The specialist will liaise with clients and financial institutions to clarify transaction details, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong working relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve monitoring transaction status, preparing documentation and reports, and providing guidance on trade finance best practices. The role requires proactive communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting agreed timelines.
Qualifications

• Strong trade finance expertise, including practical experience with Trade Finance and Letters of Credit.
• Knowledge of international rules and standards, particularly UCP 600 and related trade documentation practices.
• Ability to manage and nurture client and partner connections through effective Business Relationship Management.
• Solid understanding of Finance principles relevant to cross-border transactions and risk assessment.
• Proficiency in analyzing transaction documents, identifying operational risks, and ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with clear, professional client-facing interaction.
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to prioritize multiple transactions in a remote setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with banks, corporates, or trade finance platforms is an advantage.
