3D Tact Ltd is a UK advanced manufacturing company specialising in industrial 3D printing, engineering, product development, digital manufacturing and AI enabled manufacturing technologies.

We are looking for a creative Freelance Video Editor and Social Media Designer who can turn manufacturing footage, product images, CAD content and technical concepts into engaging, professional social media content.

The role is suitable for someone who understands modern short form content, strong visual storytelling and commercial design, and who can make technical subjects interesting to a wider audience.

Responsibilities

  1. Edit short form videos for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.
  2. Produce product videos, promotional videos and advertising creatives.
  3. Create motion graphics, animated text, captions and transitions.
  4. Design social media graphics, carousels, thumbnails and campaign visuals.
  5. Edit footage covering 3D printing, engineering, manufacturing, products, prototypes and behind the scenes activity.
  6. Repurpose existing content into different formats and aspect ratios.
  7. Improve hooks, pacing and visual presentation to increase engagement and viewing retention.
  8. Maintain a consistent visual identity across 3D Tact content.
  9. Work from briefs while also contributing creative ideas.
  10. Use AI based creative tools where appropriate to improve production quality and efficiency.

Skills and experience

  1. Strong portfolio of video editing and social media design work.
  2. Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or equivalent software.
  3. Experience with After Effects or other motion graphics software would be highly desirable.
  4. Good working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva or equivalent design tools.
  5. Strong understanding of short form video editing, hooks, pacing, captions and audience retention.
  6. Good typography, layout and visual design skills.
  7. Experience producing product, commercial, technology or engineering content is preferred.
  8. Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
  9. Good written and spoken English.
  10. Experience with AI video, image generation or creative automation tools would be an advantage.

Contract and working arrangement

  1. Freelance contractor position.
  2. Remote working.
  3. Initial one month paid trial with the potential for an ongoing engagement.
  4. Expected workload of approximately 10 to 20 hours per week depending on campaign requirements.
  5. Working hours can be flexible provided agreed deadlines are met.
  6. Higher rates may be considered for candidates with exceptional commercial video, motion graphics or product advertising experience.

Expected content output

The exact workload will depend on current campaigns, but typical monthly output may include:

  1. 12 to 20 short form social media videos.
  2. 8 to 12 social media graphics or carousel posts.
  3. 2 to 4 higher quality product, promotional or campaign videos.
  4. Platform specific resizing and adaptation of content.
  5. Thumbnails, captions and supporting graphics where required.

Hiring process

  4. The strongest candidate will be offered an initial one month freelance engagement.
  5. Performance will be assessed based on creative quality, communication, reliability, turnaround time and ability to follow the brand direction.
