Role Overview: This registered nurse position involves providing specialized care on a 21-bed gastrointestinal/medical unit focused on complex GI disorders such as bleeding, liver failure, cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease. Nurses are trained to deliver holistic patient education, discharge planning, and manage patients with chronic illnesses and comorbidities.

- Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, education, and care transitions.
- Support professional nursing practices across various settings and care phases.
- Lead activities such as precepting, quality improvement, and participate in committees or projects.
- Delegate patient care based on skill, experience, and resource availability.
- Possibly operate a personal vehicle as part of role duties.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- Proficiency in computer systems, preferably with electronic medical records.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Current RN license, BLS certification, and additional state-specific licensure or certification as required.
