Automation Test Engineer

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for an Automation Test Engineer. The Automation Test Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for renewable energy and power transmission software and systems. Daily tasks include analyzing requirements, creating and reviewing test cases, executing automated and manual tests, and documenting defects with clear, actionable detail. The role involves collaborating with developers and electrical engineering teams to validate functionality, improve test coverage, and support continuous integration and delivery. The Automation Test Engineer will also contribute to test planning, regression testing, and quality assurance best practices to ensure reliable system performance.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Test Engineering and Testing, with experience designing and managing test frameworks.
• Candidates should possess skills in Test Execution and Test Cases, including creating, maintaining, and running structured test suites.
• Candidates should possess skills in Functional Testing, ensuring systems meet specified requirements and behave as expected.
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar) and CI/CD pipelines is highly beneficial.
• Background or familiarity with electrical engineering, energy systems, or industrial control software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage part-time schedules effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
