Compensation Specialist

Role Description The Compensation Specialist role at Amazon Wood is a part-time remote position focused on supporting fair and competitive pay practices across the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in the design and maintenance of compensation structures, performing job evaluations, and supporting compensation planning activities for various roles and levels. The specialist will analyze internal and external compensation data, prepare reports and recommendations, and collaborate with HR and leadership to ensure consistency with company policies and market benchmarks. The role also involves monitoring compliance with relevant regulations, supporting annual review cycles, and providing clear documentation and communication of compensation decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in compensation planning and compensation management, with the ability to support pay programs and review cycles.
• Experience in job evaluation and designing or maintaining compensation structures to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, including proficiency in working with spreadsheets and compensation data to generate insights and recommendations.
• Knowledge of HR practices and basic understanding of relevant labor and compensation regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote, part-time environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to HR and leadership stakeholders.
• Prior experience in HR, compensation, or related fields; manufacturing or industrial sector experience is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
