Express Publishing is looking for a commercially minded and digitally experienced Digital & E-commerce Manager to drive the growth of our online business and strengthen our digital presence across international markets, with a focus on both B2B and B2C opportunities.
Reporting to the Brand & Marketing Director, you will shape and deliver digital and e-commerce plans, improve the online customer journey and identify new opportunities through performance marketing, CRM, affiliation and loyalty initiatives. You will work closely with Brand & Marketing, Sales, Publishing, Communication, Creative and IT teams, while managing the E-shop Coordinator and external partners where needed.
This newly created role is suited to a digital professional who combines strategic and commercial thinking with hands-on execution, uses data to make decisions and can turn opportunities into scalable initiatives across markets.
What You Will Do
Digital Strategy & E-commerce Growth
- Develop and implement digital and e-commerce plans that support commercial and brand objectives across international markets.
- Own online trading and promotional activity, identifying opportunities to grow B2B and B2C sales.
- Manage acquisition activity across SEO, SEM, paid media and other relevant digital channels.
- Improve the digital customer journey, conversion, average order value, retention and overall online experience.
- Lead conversion rate optimization, testing and continuous improvements to digital platforms and campaigns.
CRM, Affiliation & Loyalty
- Support CRM strategy and customer lifecycle initiatives, using segmentation and insights to make communication more relevant.
- Develop and test affiliation, membership and loyalty initiatives that strengthen engagement and repeat business.
- Build digital engagement opportunities for teachers, educators, schools, institutions and commercial partners.
- Explore new digital business models and growth initiatives that can be adapted across markets.
Insights, Performance & Collaboration
- Define and monitor digital and e-commerce KPIs, prepare clear performance reports and recommend practical actions based on results.
- Work with local markets to understand customer needs and identify opportunities while developing scalable solutions.
- Manage and develop the E-shop Coordinator, setting clear priorities and ensuring effective execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams and coordinate external agencies and partners to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, digital growth or a related commercial role.
- Proven experience managing e-commerce performance and delivering measurable digital growth.
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, paid media, customer journeys and conversion optimization.
- Confidence using analytics, customer insights and e-commerce KPIs to shape decisions and priorities.
- Experience with CRM, customer segmentation, retention, affiliation or loyalty programmes.
- A commercial and analytical mindset, with strong project management and organizational skills.
- The ability to collaborate effectively across functions, stakeholders and markets, and to guide team members or partners.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience in international markets, B2B, education or publishing would be an asset.
How You Work
You take ownership of results and turn insights into practical action. You balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving, stay curious about customer behaviour and digital trends, and are comfortable testing, learning and improving. You communicate clearly, collaborate well across teams and keep commercial impact and customer experience in focus.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means growing the effectiveness of our digital and e-commerce activities, improving acquisition, conversion and retention, and building a clear, data-led view of performance. You will establish well-prioritised initiatives, develop the E-shop function and deliver scalable solutions that support our international business and brand objectives.
